Terms of use
Last updated: 13 July 2026
These terms govern your use of vapcover.co.za and related services (“the Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms and our Privacy and Cookie policies. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
VAP Cover helps you request quotes for value added products (VAPs) that may be added to an existing insurance policy. Cover is underwritten by licensed South African insurers or underwriting partners — not by the website alone as a direct insurer unless stated on your quote documents.
2. Quotes and cover
- Quotes shown on the site or emailed to you are indicative until accepted and bound under the insurer’s wording
- Cover is subject to underwriting, eligibility, waiting periods, exclusions, and product terms
- You must provide accurate information. Incorrect details may affect quotes, cover, or claims
- Final premiums, benefits, and conditions are those on your policy schedule and wording
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend accounts that appear to misuse the Service or breach these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt systems
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Scrape or copy the Service in bulk without permission
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
5. Intellectual property
Site content, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the Service for personal, lawful quoting and account management only. Partner names and marks belong to their owners.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that quotes will always be available for every product or risk. Insurance advice on the site is general information, not personal financial advice under FAIS unless a licensed intermediary expressly provides it to you.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or fraud where applicable.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
10. Contact
Have these terms reviewed by your legal adviser before launch if you rely on them as final contractual terms.
